Saturday is my favorite day of the week. No doubt about it. Sure I don’t have kids to run to soccer or basketball games yet which will surely put a dent in my opinion of Saturdays, and I do enjoy going to church on Sundays, but the freedom of a Saturday morning is something to behold.
Don’t let anyone tell you what to do on Saturday. It is a day to set your own agenda, do the things you haven’t been able to do all week, and spend a little time recovering from the week that was without thinking of what is coming next. Leave your anxiety about next week for that dreaded epiphany Sunday night when you notice the weekend is over…
Today my wife and I will be going to the town of Verona south of Madison. There is a knitting shop there that she wants to visit and I would just like to go walking around town. Its supposed to be a little cold but it will be fun to spend time together visiting someplace different.
